Plane biaxial tensile test
According to Reinhardt, there are there three main typologies of biaxial tests: the bursting test, based on a circular specimen clamped along the edge and inflated by air or water under pressure till the specimen bursts; the cylinder test, based on a hollow cylinder subjected to internal pressure and axial pressure or tension; the plane biaxial test which offer the best result because of the independent force introduction in the two main direction.
